Viral Videos: Paying It Forward Into The Cosmos

Paying It Forward Into The CosmosNeil deGrasse Tyson is a shining star in the universe of astrophysics. He tells an amazing story about how his college admission letter to Cornell University ended up on Carl Sagan’s desk.

What Mr. Sagan did next is an inspiring lesson in the joy of “paying it forward.”

  1. Very inspiring! Yes, Carl Sagan was an amazing scientist, and that was a wonderful thing he did for Neil deGrasse Tyson. Not all scientists however hold the evolutionary assumption of Carl Sagan. For example, Dr. John C. Sanford, Cornell U. geneticist for more than 25 years, and inventor of the famous “Gene Gun,” (now semi-retired)has rejected both atheism and Darwinian evolution. He also now believes that the increase of bed mutations in the human genome is beyond control – see his book, Genetic Entropy & The Mystery of the Genome. Waterloo,NY: FMS Publications, 3rd Edition,2008. Thousands of other scientists today are also creationists, like John Sanford.

  2. I remember in High School back in the early 60s I had the good fortune of having Mr Chester Flint as my Physics teacher. To this day he is one of the
few teachers that I truly learned to respect from his unique teaching style.

I see a similarity here for what Neil Tyson learned from Carl Sagan.
    We were both fortunate.
